My studio has been transitioned from sculpture to fashion and I’m ready to get to work on my next collection of clothing.

I’ll be making 100 pieces to take out to NuBe Green in Seattle for a show in April. But, first, I’ll swing by Charleston, SC

to compete in the Charleston Fashion Week Emerging Designer Competition along with 20 other designers.

This collection I’ll be experimenting with hand knotting yarns, natural dyes, dye removal processes, and of course hand stitching.

INSECTS, INSTALLED

Just home from installing the show at The Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center in Kentucky. The space is incredible – over 100 years old – with amazing details and architecture. The insects are in a bright, intimate space that perfectly fits the work. It was a whirlwind few days. On top of installing the show, I also did tons of thrifting in Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee to collect materials for the next STATE collection which I’ll be starting… now… or maybe tomorrow… Let’s be honest.

I hit the road for Kentucky earrrrrly tomorrow morning for two days of installation at The Carnegie Arts Center.

I photographed the dome pieces before I packed them up today.

Exciting to have it all come together.

Getting my ducks in a row to install this next show in Kentucky.

These gorgeous (and giant!) domes were my Christmas present to myself.

They’ll become homes for my most three-dimensional insects.
